New this year for the 2017 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show was the changed Boat Show schedule. In the past the Boat Show ran Thursday through Monday. Starting in 2017, the Boat Show runs Wednesday through Sunday November 1-5, 2017. Informa PLC, a UK company has bought Yachting Partners Inc. and the Global Exhibitions Division of Informa PLC is now the active operator of the Lauderdale Show. The Global Exhibitions Division of Informa PLC has run the Monaco Yacht Show, the premier in the water show in Europe for many years successfully and is expected to bring that expertise to Fort Lauderdale.

The change of schedule from Thur. through Monday to Wed. through Sunday is looked as a better way to handle both attendees and merchant displayers at the Show. In the past, the Monday addition was to accommodate banking, now no longer necessary.
